All dates are fully intended, but of course we are at the mercy of the weather. Outdoor Drum Circles will not go ahead if the weather is wet, so sing, drum, dance and pray for blue skies and sunshine!
PLEASE REGISTER your intention to join me
Registration is free. By registering with your email address, I can contact you if the drum circle needs to be cancelled due to unkind weather or any other unforseen circumstances. Do check your emails before leaving home. Payment is in cash on the day. You choose the amount you pay, and put it in the pot. (I won't be carrying any change.) |
Join me in the drum circle!
We shall be 'freestyle' (improv) jamming from a starting rhythm, and from there we go with the flow, get the groove on the move, with perhaps some 'sculpting' to add texture.
Be part of an 'in the moment' experience.
Rhythm making is a form of active meditation ... spend an hour in a different headspace, and enjoy the many benefits that group drumming brings to our health and well-being on all levels.

Perhaps you have read about all the well-being benefits of group rhythm making and want to find out more?
Perhaps you have always wanted to take part in music making but haven't had the confidence to do so? You don't need to have any previous rhythmic or musical experience, and if you think that you have no rhythm, then know that you definitely do, you just need to re-connect with it. |
It's also a great opportunity to play other (non-electric) instruments that you may have. Add into the mix with a flute, a harmonica, a trumpet, or even just your voice! Anything goes!
You don't need to be an 'accomplished' player - drum circles are not places of judgement or competition; rather of encouragement and appreciation, so give it a whirl, and share your enjoyment with the circle.

What time should you arrive?
Play begins at 10 o’clock and finishes at 11 o'clock.
I hire the space for two hours from 9.30 till 11.30am, giving us time either side of drumming to get settled, use the loo, have a natter etc. You may like to bring a drink etc.

Booking is via Eventbrite, an event management and ticketing website, launched in 2006. The service allows users to browse and book tickets for events, and for hosts to create and promote events, both IRL and online. The service charges a fee to event organisers in exchange for online ticketing services, unless the event is free. Eventbrite is a securely hosted website with the necessary data protection protocols in place.
Eventbrite brings me an efficient booking system, so I know who to expect, how many chairs to set out, how many drums to bring, etc, and also allows me to easily communicate with you if anything changes.
